As the Chief Donation Officer at SHSC, Kim is responsible for the strategic enhancement and development of our processes that enhance the donation pathway and create a legacy of yes. She works every day to enhance and maintain consistent and effective practices across her departments.
Kim has more than 20 years of experience in the OPO field, understanding the impact of donation and value of investing in our partners who help make the gift of life possible. She is passionate about the family experience and honoring every legacy, every life, every time. Kim has served the gift of donation in a variety of positions…from a Peds ICU Nurse to OPO Coordinator, Heart Transplant Coordinator and Director of Hospital Services, she continues to find inspiration from the stories and impact of the gift of life.
Kim is proud of the work being done to bring comfort to grieving families on their most difficult days. She truly believes that donation provides families with the opportunity to continue their loved one’s legacy.
When she’s not working, Kim enjoys outdoor activities with her Aussie Doodle, Golden Doodle, and her horse. She finds rejuvenation and renewal in the outdoors, and often enjoys a good book on her days off. Since moving to South Carolina, her new love is spending time reading on a quiet beach!
